Join us for a spine-chilling evening of classic horror films that will keep you on the edge of your seat! The Renton Civic Theatre invites you to an unforgettable night of suspense, terror, and thrills as we showcase three iconic horror movies from the golden age of cinema.

Featured Films

Carnival of Souls (1962)

Follow Mary Henry as she unwittingly becomes entangled with the mysterious, otherworldly inhabitants of an abandoned carnival. This eerie cult classic is sure to haunt you long after the credits roll.

Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959)

Dive into the murky waters of this creature feature, where giant, bloodthirsty leeches terrorize a small swamp community. A B-movie gem that delivers both shocks and laughs in equal measure.

A Bucket of Blood (1959)

Enter the dark and twisted world of a struggling artist who will do anything for fame, even if it means murder. This black comedy-horror film will leave you questioning the price of artistic success.

Schedule

  • 7:00 PM: Carnival of Souls (78 minutes)

  • 8:30 PM: Attack of the Giant Leeches (62 minutes)

  • 9:45 PM: A Bucket of Blood (66 minutes)

Each film will be followed by a 10-minute intermission to give you time to catch your breath and grab some refreshments.

Age Appropriateness

This marathon is designed for audiences who appreciate classic horror, with a mix of eerie and darkly comedic elements. While these movies are from a bygone era, before the MPAA started their modern movie rating system, we do have some guidance for age-appropriateness:

  • Carnival of Souls and Attack of the Giant Leeches both hold a PG-equivalent rating from international rating organizations, suggesting they may be unsettling for children.

  • A Bucket of Blood holds a PG-13-equivalent rating from international rating organizations, suggesting it may be more appropriate for teens and older due to its darker themes.

Given that these ratings are not officially certified by the MPAA, parents are encouraged to use discretion based on their children's sensitivity to horror content. We would not recommend this event for anyone under the age of 13.

Don't miss out on this frightful night of classic horror! Get your tickets now and prepare for an evening of cinematic terror like no other.
